CEO of Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Symphony joins TMN's live event on 8 February.

TMN is delighted to announce that Tareq Amin, CEO of Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Symphony, will speak at its upcoming event, “The Truth About Open RAN“, taking place live on February 8th and available on-demand afterwards.

Amin will lead a line-up for an event that also includes Paul Senior, Founder of neutral host network operator DenseAir, Dr Doug Pulley, Chief Solutions Architect of chipset and software developer Picocom and Caroline Gabriel, Founder and Research Director of Rethink Research.

Open RAN pioneers

From macro operator to neutral host, private networks and small cells, the panel gives full spectrum insight into the reality of designing, deploying and running Open RAN networks.

  • Amin will take part in a discussion with session moderator and TMN editor Keith Dyer, giving us the truth about Rakuten Mobile’s Open RAN deployment, as well as insight into the global picture of Open RAN deployments. Amin is always open about Rakuten Mobile, lifting the lid on how the operator has structured its rollout, and the true nature of its commercial deployment. He also has strong opinions, gained though experience,  on how to deploy cloud-native and open networks that can enable Open RAN architectures.
  • Senior founded DenseAir to provide a disruptive and more efficient model to deliver dense, small cell-based network connectivity. The company deploys and operates targeted neutral host, dense networks to enhance and extend operator connectivity.
  • Pulley is part of a team leading the design and development of chipset and software solutions for products that operators can use to deploy commercial networks for diverse use cases.
  • Gabriel has years of experience in tracking operator investment in mobile network technology, and will place Open RAN deployments globally in context.

Join them as the event brings clarity where there is often uncertainty, to establish the Truth About Open RAN.
